Road Angel Biketrac

£325 fitted at the workshop.
£375 supplied and fitted using mobile fitting service.
£289 supply only including postage.

Bike Trac is a small GPS, GPRS, GSM & RF tracking device that once fitted to your bike, lets you see where it is through a secure website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! In addition to alerting you if your bike is stolen, Bike Trac will alert family and friends if you fall off; will alert you if your bike's battery charge drops; and will let you look back at and share your journeys.

It is one of the few stolen vehicle recovery products that is Thatcham Category 6 & 7 accredited. What's more, it uses both GPS and RF technology - meaning that even if the GPS signal is lost, the location of the unit can be tracked and recovered.

Approved by:

  • Thatcham (Cat 6 & 7)
  • Ducati UK
  • BMW Insurance
  • Yamaha ATV

Suitable for all types of bikes.

Bike Trac is a discrete tracking device that is suitable for all types of motorcycle's and ATV's. Measuring only 66mm x 33mm x 15mm, weighing only 45 gramms, and with an in-built battery that lasts up to 30 days, it can be fitted to almost any bike - whether it has a battery or not (even dirt bikes!).

See where your bike is anytime.

No matter where you are in the world, or what time of the day or night, you can log into your own secure online tracking site and see where your bike is - as shown in the images above.

Powered by Microsoft Bing™ Maps, your bikes location is shown by a small icon of your choosing.

The system provides information such as the charge level in your bikes battery, and whether Bike Trac is armed or disarmed.

You can also change various settings including who you want contacted if the system is triggered, and how you would like to receive alerts. The system is designed to work on all web enabled devices including smart-phones and tablet computers.

Review and share your journeys.

Bike Trac does not stop working when you deactivate it... when you go for a ride, Bike Trac will switch into ‘journey’ mode. Providing you have installed your Bike Trac unit using the ignition feed as well as earth and live feeds, when in journey mode Bike Trac will frequently monitor your journey by ‘speaking’ with the Bike Trac servers at very short intervals.

This means that when you get back home you can log onto your secure online Bike Trac portal and view breadcrumb trails of exactly where you have been. You can view your time, date, mileage and speed; although the speed feature can be turned off.

You can also download the GPX data from the system, and upload it to a variety of third party applications and software including Sat Nav systems, and online route sharing sites.

Be alerted if your bike's stolen.

Should a bike fitted with Bike Trac be stolen, the owner will be notified by an SMS text message and/or email. A Secure Operating Centre will also be alerted, and will contact the owner by phone to confirm a theft has taken place. If it has, the call centre will work with the authorities to track and recover the stolen bike.

The Secure Operating Centre is a team working around the clock in readiness to respond to any alerts to stolen bikes.

After you have acquired a Crime Reference Number, or Incident Report Number from the Police, the call centre will then contact the Police to initiate a search and recovery.

Alert family if you fall off.

Bike Down is a feature where your chosen family and friends will receive an alert by SMS text and email, should your bike tilt to an angle greater than 80 degrees - while the ignition is on. The time and location of the Bike Down alert will be sent to your chosen contacts, so they can act accordingly.

With the ability to turn this function on or off at will, this is a handy feature that will give your loved ones peace of mind, knowing that they will be alerted if you are involved in an incident while riding. Please note that the Secure Operating Centre do not receive Bike Down alerts, only the chosen contacts you have set-up on your Bike Trac portal.

Be alerted if your battery's low.

Bike Trac will alert you and your chosen contacts if your bikes battery drops below a certain voltage. No alerts will be sent to the Secure Operating Centre.

You can set the voltage level for which the unit will send you an alert, between 10.8 volts and 12 volts. If your bikes battery does drop below the level you set, the unit will also stop taking charge from the bikes battery, until the voltage level is restored.

Please note that Bike Trac only takes a draw from the bike's battery when it needs 'topping up'. The internal battery within the Bike Trac unit can last up to 30 days without needing to charge itself.

Bike Trac can be used as a stand alone unit with no external battery feed, which makes it perfect for off-road bikes and other equipment.

Bike Trac requires an ongoing subscription to pay for the cost of data transfers from and to the device, and the central Bike Trac computer servers. This includes text messages and the cost of the Secure Operating Centre. Bike Trac has 3 subscription options:

  • 1 year: £99.99
  • 2 years: £179.99
  • 3 years: £229.99

Please note that Bike Trac is registered to the owner, not the bike. This means that you can transfer the unit from bike to bike without re-registering or paying additional administration fees. To purchase subscriptions, log in to your Road Angel customer account at
