Indicators on Honda CBR1000rr intermittent fault
My 2006 Fireblade has had this problem for some time. It has been in & out of workshops several times, each time returned with a '' cure'' that lasted at best a couple of days, & at worst failed on the way home. I was running out of confidence after the bike was returned for repair on the third time, so I rang Bike alarm Man to see if he could help. I explained that it was in for another fix at moment but could he help if it failed again, which of course it did!! Yes, he said, the indicator circuit on bikes is about as simple as it gets!! Took bike over to Pete about 10 o'clock on Monday & left it with him- said it would be fixed by that evening. By 1130 am I had received 2 videos of water in the wiring loom & 2 photos , one of a very poor/broken connection on indicator circuit & one of an original Honda crimp on main ignition cable that had virtually corroded away. He cut out the bad bits & soldered in new wires. The bike was rebuilt & was completed within the day. This guy not only opened up the loom , dried it out, fixed the indicator circuit , but continued his investigation to discover issues with the main ignition circuit. I was more than pleased to pay him his fee, which was more than reasonable, knowing that he had tracked down & fixed the fault. His communication & skill levels were brilliant , & would not hesitate to recommend his services.
